Most of us are not blessed with the skills of Hogan or Nicklaus and as mere mortals even on our best form we find scoring well on the golf course "tricky". One sure fire way to ensure you don't acquire any unnecessary penalty strokes is to put aside time to learn "The Rules of Golf". But be warned you can never pay enough attention to them!!

And then even when you think you know The Rules of Golf there are still the Local Rules to familiarise yourself with. These are clearly posted in the Rochford Hundred clubhouse, but to help both members and visitors avoid unnecessary penalties they are reproduced below.
